I had to put a bid on this President Washington on ebay and now it’s at my shack. The Washington Base Station CB Radio SRF meter needle was sticky from sitting around in it’s original box for years but now it’s starting to bounce after a bit of work.

The Stoner Pro 40 Manual tells the story of the one of the only CB Radios designed for SSB Single Side Band. The Stoner Pro 40 only has provision for integrating and controlling an AM Amplitude Modulation separate CB Radio. Anyway I have a Kenwood MC-85 Radio Mic which I like, but have set it up to work on the TRAM D201 very well so didnt want to change it. So that left my trusty standby mic – the venerable Turner Super Sidekick in black which is setup with the four pin plug to work on the Stoner Pro-40 and the Texas Ranger 696 Base.

AX05 Stoner Pro 40 #322 CB Radio AS displayed on ebay which indicated it was in fairly good condition for its 1978 birthday.   Displayed on Ebay May 2015 as a “Buy It NOW!”  SO I DID!
